Not All Who Wander Are Lost
In 2016 I made the huge decision to put my career on hold and go traveling. At the time I was riddled with guilt and felt a lot of pressure to go find a new job to continue focusing on my career in Finance. A gap on your resume in my industry is frowned upon, but I knew I needed some personal time. During my adventures, I fell in love. I fell in love experiencing a variety of disciplines, being exposed to foreign industries, cultures, and lifestyles. Most importantly I fell in love with myself. I found self-worth that wasn’t based on my salary, job title, or credentials. My heart opened up and I found my soulmate. We are both from different parts of the world and we’re making it work. I never dreamt that by leaving behind “what I should be doing” and surrendering myself to the universe, it would be so rewarding.
The question that guided me through this journey started with a self-reflection. Where was my light shining? We are a beacon of light we can see where the light is shining. If you shine your light towards consciousness and seek your truth the solution will come. So often we’re pledged by this idea of what we should be doing. Set aside the pressures from your family, friends, and society. Contemplate what is your truth. You are not lost because you wonder, you are lost when you don’t know your true self. Sending you all love and positive vibes.
